We have had awesome feedback from all the sponsoured boys on this shape. A great board in the quiver as it is a shape ridden 2" shorter than your conventional thruster because of the slightly fuller template. Brilliant as a quad fin set up as well as a tri fin.
Great for small to medium waves, from mush to plush waves! This is the board between The Sting 2 and The Thruster.
Squash tail for good surface area in the tail. Fairly deep single concave makes it loose-ish and to keep the board plaining really well in weak waves and flat sections. The rocker makes this board super reactive and snappy at the top of waves, great for AIRs! The wings on the front fins (see picture right) keep the width in the back of the board and give straighter rails for speed and therefore boosting! The wings provide break points in the rail and good release for tweaked turns, snapps and airs. Josh Ward and Al's favourite punting stick, The Summer Sting, see pic below.
